Let’s Talk. Catching up with Megan Segal

Forming part of our Southern Suburbs Team, Megan Segal epitomises what it means to be a Tyson Properties agent, providing her clients with expert advice and guidance whether they are selling, buying, renting or letting a home. In a recent interview we spoke with Megan to catch up.

  1. Please introduce yourself & tell us how you got into Real Estate?

I am a Residential Agent for Tyson Properties in the Southern Suburbs. I have been in the property industry for six years, selling and renting in both the Residential and Sectional title markets.

I was scouted by the rental manager for another company, while I was a waiter many years ago to be the rental receptionist. I immediately fell in love with the industry and have worked hard to get where I am today, to do what I love, selling and renting out property.

  1. Please tell us what areas you sell in and why you enjoy doing so?

I am the sales and rental agent in Kirstenhof, Klein Wassenaar and Dreyersdal.  I enjoy these suburbs as they are such a hidden gem tucked away between gorgeous greenbelts and majestic mountain ranges.  

Offering a wide range of property from the perfect starter home or investment property to the forever family home. There is a property for everyone.

  1. How in your opinion has the Real Estate industry changes since you started?

The industry is now much faster paced, meaning that the technology that is being used today allows all parties involved to get answers far quicker than before. Social media has also taken over the marketing aspect of real estate, no more advertising in newspapers or traditional forms of media. With just one click the client can now instantly get hold of the agent. Similarly, the agent is now able to market a property to a captive audience of buyers.
