Going into lockdown, like any organisation, we were very apprehensive about what this new future might bring, and certainly the potential effects it would have on the market, especially considering that the market conditions, since the start of the year, was steadily improving.
However, I am delighted to report that since lockdown, Tyson Properties has concluded over 300-million-rands worth of property transactions in the Western Cape. We have also recorded some of our biggest months to date.
Market conditions are certainly not all gloom and doom and there are already glimmers of light shining through the end of this tunnel. We have found that once again, our youth and our ability to adapt to these market conditions, has really played in our favour.
We went into the pandemic as the fastest growing real estate company in the Western Cape in terms of market share and we now emerge as a company with the most market share in many of the areas we service.
We have always been an organisation that has pushed the envelope when it comes to the use of technology and throughout the various levels of lockdown, we were able to really put this tech to the test. We also took a huge risk and increased our marketing efforts going into lockdown. And, the results have been staggering!
The videos we released during lockdown reached over 200 thousand people. Our engagement on social media quadrupled. 22 agents from competing companies have joined our organisation.
With sellers having adjusted to suit market conditions and the interest rate being at its lowest in 50 years, the time to buy property is NOW!
We sold more property through virtual tours and videos than ever before and most surprisingly of all, we have grown our sales figures buy 32% year on year from the start of this financial year.
All of this could not have been achieved without the incredible attitude our agents have shown and the continued support from good people of the Western Cape.
Most importantly, we have stressed the need to be responsible during these times and we believe our innovative approach and use of tech have kept our agents safe without one case of COVID-19 amongst our staff.
